The following method will always work so other e-mail programs can see the full headers.
- Turn full headers on:
- select View from menu at top of Netscape Messenger
- select Header from menu under View
- select All from menu under Header
- Copy the message into memory:
- Press Ctrl-A, then Crtl-C
- Open a new message composition window.
- select New Msg from menu at top of Netscape Messenger
- Enter "abuse@RootR.net" into To: field
- Paste complete message in body.
- Click your mouse into the body of the message, anywhere.
- Press Ctrl-V
- Send the message.
- Netscape Messenger 7.x
- Turn full headers on:
- select View from menu at top of Netscape Messenger
- select Header from menu under View
- select All from menu under Header
- Click on the message to highlight it, and then click on the
Forward button.
- Enter abuse@RootR.net into the To: field.
- Send the message.
- Outlook Express 4, 5 & 6
- Double-click the e-mail message to open it in its own window.
- Click the File menu.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Details tab.
- Click Message Source.
- Copy the message source into memory:
- Press Ctrl-A
- Press <Crtl>-C
- Open a new message composition window.
- select Create Message from the menu at the top of Outlook
Express.
- Enter abuse@RootR.net into the To: field.
- Paste complete message in body.
- Click your mouse in the body of the message (does not matter where).
- Press Ctrl-V.
- Send the message.
- Outlook 2000, Outlook 2002/XP
- Double-click on the e-mail message to open it in its own window.
- Click the View menu.
- Click on Options...
- Copy the Internet headers: into memory:
- Click anywhere in the Internet headers: box.
- Press Ctrl-A
- Press Ctrl-C
- Open a new message composition window.
- Select New from the menu at the top of Outlook.
- Enter abuse@RootR.net into the To: field.
- Paste the complete message in the body of the new message.
- Click your mouse in the body of the message (does not matter where).
- Press Ctrl-V.
- Send the message.
- Eudora
- Double-click on the e-mail message to open it.
- Click on the button to
show the full headers.
- Click on the button to
forward the full message.
- Enter abuse@RootR.net into the To: field.
- Send the message.
- Pine terminal
- First you must enable the full header command:
- Type "M" for the main menu, then "S" for Setup, then "C" for Config.
- Scroll down through the list of configuration options (the spacebar
will enable you to scroll down quickly) until you find [X] enable-full-header-cmd
- If there is already an X in the box beside this option, it means the
command is already enabled. If there is not an X in the box, highlight the
option and type "X" to enable the command
- Type "E" to exit from the configuration
- Type "Y" to commit the change you have made to the settings
- Now go back to reading your message.
- Type "H" to display the full header (This setting will remain, and full
headers will be displayed for all messages, until you type "H" again).
- Type "F" to forward the message.
- Enter abuse@RootR.net into the To: field.
- Send the message.
- Mutt terminal
- Select the spam message, press enter to see.
- Press "h" to show full headers.
- Press "f" to forward what you see.
- Enter abuse@RootR.net into the To: field.
- Send the message.
